BPA Programming

BPA Programming is designed to create and provide consistent opportunities for development for youth groups, students, community members and anyone who would like to connect. Our staff has 14+ years of experience in after school program curriculum, while also providing extra curricular activities in performing arts, sports and technological studies that include photography, videography, editing, graphic design and social media content design.

The BPA staff specializes in personal growth sessions, youth violence prevention and culturally responsive skill-training for faculty, staff and instructors in regards to offering new methods to increase test scores, activity, participation and support while also advocating for students, youth groups and community members to engage in multiple career development opportunities that serve as bridges from middle schools to high schools to colleges to internships, to careers and opportunities to utilize trades and skills.

OUR WHY:

1.) "WHY ARE WE IMPORTANT?"

2.) "WHY ARE WE ESSENTIAL?"

3.) "WHAT'S THE BEST THAT CAN HAPPEN IF WE STICK TOGETHER?"

Our programming has saved the lives of students who live in urban communities, in regards to providing them tip a safe place to learn, grow and connect with others. For further transparency, our programming assisted in creating a safe place for students to go when their parents were either at work or not available to supervise them.

In the midst of our programming serving as a safe place, there were times where our programming could not sustain itself financially which resulted in our programming being canceled or not available. Once the programming was not available, there were unfortunate cases where students were victims to gun violence within their urban communities. Due to these tragedies taking place during the original timeframes that our programming would occur, we realized that without a safe place to attend: it is very possible that student's and youth groups are exposed to danger when they are not in a safe place, resulting in unfortunate circumstances. We understand that it is not possible to save every student from the dangers of the communities in which they live, but we do believe that our work is essential, beneficial and that our safe places provide value within the community.

Not only does our programming provide value, safety and a support system for students, we provide extra curricular activities that will assist students in creating a successful life and bridge to opportunities that will ultimately guide them to successful occupations and life paths that ultimately service our communities. Our programming has guided students from public schools to the collegiate level to succeed as first generation college students. Our programming has also introduce greek life to students and youth groups, giving them an opportunity to learn about support systems via brotherhoods, sisterhoods, and communities that will support them along their journey, creating life-long bonds that are beneficial professional, and socially within their communities.

Our programming has been proven to build support systems that last after high school graduation, collegiate graduation and more. We also have a strong list of former students, and youth group participants that are committed to returning to assist in our goal and mission to improve the betterment of the communities that our youth live in. Our goal is to help students, parents, staff, faculty, and our communities succeed with attentive care and support, showing them just how great they can become in any direction they choose in regards to education, career paths, trades/skills, and all opportunities that serve as beneficial to their growth as a person and a member of our communities.
